TAVISTOCK Road in Princetown will be closed to through traffic for one day during the next nine days to allow the removal of a temporary roof at St Michael?s and All Angels Church.
Contractors carrying out the work say the job is weather-dependent so are unable to give a definite date for the road closure.
?Because the crane is so high, even with a slight breeze they can?t use it,? said a spokesman for LTC Specialist Scaffold Ltd.
The job has already been postponed once due to adverse weather.
The alternative route is from the roundabout on Plymouth Hill to Two Bridges and from Two Bridges to Rundlestone Cross and vice versa. Local cars and light vehicles will be able to take a short, unsigned route.
