A ROAD closure, due to be started in North Tawton?s High Street on Monday, has been postponed until further notice.
The closure was to allow the continuation of water mains rehabilitation works by South West Water.
But following concerns in the town about the continued disruption caused by the work, the closure will now take place later in the year, at a date to be agreed by the water company and local businesses.
But North Street in Okehampton will be closed to through traffic for three days next week, to allow repair work to take place on the sewer system.
The closure will be for three days from Monday April 7. The alternative route will be via North Road, Link Road, Barton Road and East Street. Access to properties will be maintained as far as possible during the closure ? any problems should be reported to the local service office on 01837 52773.
