THE Royal Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is the main UK charity providing help and support to people with serious sight loss. We rely on voluntary contributions to keep our services running and many blind and partially sighted people in this area rely on us.
Throughout the South West we receive fantastic support from the general public but we have one desperate shortage, people to support our existing volunteers.
The volunteer co-ordinator role involves supporting the team of volunteers in Devon. Ideally you would enjoy driving around the country, meeting existing volunteers, inducting new volunteers and helping to raise the profile of RNIB.
May I appeal to your readers who can spare a couple of days a week to take on this rewarding task?
If you would like to get out and meet new people, please contact me because maybe you are just the person we are looking for. Full training and local support will be given and all out of pocket expenses are reimbursed.
If you would like further details please contact Sharon Woodhams on 01626 332375, I would be delighted to speak to you.
