A TAVISTOCK car park is getting a £40,000 facelift. West Devon Borough Council is resurfacing Riverside Car Park and will install lighting. Work started this week with the installation of the lighting and small areas of the car park will be cordoned off. The car park will be closed for one week from Monday May 23 for resurfacing and bay marking. It will reopen on Monday May 30 in time for half-term holidays. Season ticket holders have been contacted and will be allowed to park in town centre car parks while the car park is closed. Recycling banks in the car park have also been removed temporarily while the work is being carried out. Other recycling facilities are available at Morrisons supermarket. Cathy Aubertin, facilities contracts manager for West Devon, said: ?This long-awaited project has been in the planning for at least four years and when completed will provide a pleasant environment for all users.?
