WATER babies are invited to join Calstock Footpath Society for an enjoyable afternoon of messing about on the river.
The society, in conjunction with the TVAONB, have organised a three mile walk and ferry crossing on Saturday September 25. Walkers will take the ferry from Calstock Quay across the Tamar to the Devon bank where the walk will continue along the river and past the Old Ward silver mine before dropping into pleasant woodland surroundings.
Walkers will return to Calstock by ferry from Ferry Farm.
The walk is free but visitors are asked to budget £1.40 for the return ferry fare, and to wear stout footwear and warm clothing.
