JUMP on the Reading Rollercoaster at Okehampton Library as part of the summer holiday programme.
There?s a personal reading folder with sets of stickers to collect along the way and everyone who completes the challenge will be awarded a special medal and certificate.
Every year, libraries across Devon run the Great Reading Challenge which aims to encourage young people to keep enjoying books throughout the summer. Last year?s theme was the Reading Maze which extended the adventure to the internet with hidden author ?habitats? in an interactive maze.
This year the fun focuses on the all new Reading Rollercoaster website. Promoted by the Reading Agency and sponsored by Books for Libraries and leading children?s publishers, here you will be able to meet authors, review books and take the Quiz Whizz challenge.
There is also a variety of activities in Okehampton Library, including the chance to get creative, have fun or just enjoy some fantastic fiction at one of the dedicated story times.
If your child is aged between three and 16 and not a member of Devon Libraries, there is also the chance to win a child?s annual membership of Crealy Adventure Park, if they join up during this summer holiday.
To find out more, call at the library for a leaflet.
