LAST Friday, June 6, Princetown remembered those that fell on D-Day 70 years ago. The photograph shows ret'd Sgt Alan Deves, ex 7 RHA, who laid the wreath on behalf of the village, ret'd Sgt-major Andy Welsh MM ex-Parachute Regt, who led the commemoration, and ret'd Staff-sgt Ian Morgan ex RAOC who gave the 'Exhortation'. Tony Hoader former Royal Marine Bugler sounded the Last Post and Reveille. The ceremony was well attended by residents of the village.
