ON the weekend of August 4 and 5, my parents and aunt had a car accident at Upcotts Bank, Okehampton. The front tyre of their green Peugeot blew out, causing the car to lose control. Luckily they were all unhurt, albeit rather shaken up. They would like to express their gratitude to the people who stopped to help; the people with the racing pigeons who remained with them until the car was taken away and everyone else who showed great concern and friendliness. Thanks also to A30 Rescue, who treated them with kindness, respect and much friendliness. Coming from the Midlands, my parents and aunt cannot stop talking about how good people are down here in Devon. Perhaps we who live here take this generosity of the locals for granted, I don?t know. But I do know my parents and aunt want to tell everyone how grateful they are and to give their huge thanks. Thank you also from me for looking after them for me. Bless you all.
