THE superfast fibre roll-out will be complete for Tavistock, Okehampton and Yelverton by the end of this year.

Many residents and businesses in those areas will be able to benefit from the enhancements that superfast brings. There has already been activity, planning applications submitted where required and at least one BT Cabinet replaced in preparation.

However, there will also be those who miss out on the improved service for the foreseeable future.

West Devon and Tavistock Town Councillor John Sheldon said: 'We are not in a tax payer funded area and must rely on commercial viability — this will not stretch to everyone.

'I am confident that BT as a commercial concern will do their best to deliver as much fibre as they can.'
