SEVERAL members of the Kelly College swim squad took part in the Tavistock Town Relays on Thursday organised by Tavistock Athletics Club.
Despite the torrential rain there was a good turnout with some competitive racing. In the U14s boys category Josh Boon got the Kelly team of four off to an excellent start coming first to hand over to Dan Gillard to run the second leg. After 1.1miles of running through the Meadows Dan handed the baton on to Harry Dunlop who handed over to Jordan Channon to bring the team in third overall — a superb achievement as the boys are still eligible to run in the U14 age group next year.
Josh Carnell running for East Cornwall Harriers had a fast last leg to bring his team home in first in the U16s boys.
The senior race saw a team from Kelly made up of Josh and Ollie Lake, Cameron Carpenter-Warren along with James Lake who all ran brilliantly.
