READINGS from the community magazine ?Margins? took place last Friday to help Tavistock Library celebrate its anniversary. Moira Andrews, head of Tavistock Library, hosted the event and Myfanwy Cook from Margins organised the readings to commemorate the fifth year since the library moved to its current building. A variety of short stories and poems by the many writers of the magazine were read at the event to allow people to receive a taste of the diversity of writing. On the day the Margins team wore creative hats, loaned by Tavistock shop Tilly Whims, with Ann?s hat made by the Queen?s milliner, Philip Sommerville. All the hats are available to hire from Tilly Whims extensive range. l Pictured left to right is the Margins team; Myfanwy Cook, Ann Pulsford, Pat Wright, and Enid Gill. The magazine is available at the library and many other shops in Tavistock. The issue contains high quality pictures of Tavistock and Dartmoor to illustrate the writing. This new initiative has been funded by Tavistock Town Council, Dartmoor Regenerations Scheme and West Devon Borough Council.
