STUDENTS from Callington Community College and Tavistock College recently spent an exciting week at Air Southwest on work experience. The students, aged between 14 and 15 were selected from schools across Devon and Cornwall to spend the week learning about the duties of cabin crew. The students underwent a streamlined version of the six-week training course they would have to pass before being awarded their wings to fly, entailing safety drills, first aid and the importance of putting the customer first. The highlight of the week was a flight to Jersey, when students had the opportunity to see how the skills they had learned were put into practice by the qualified cabin crew. l Pictured above, the students during work experience at Plymouth Airport.
