A CHEQUE for £3,000 ? of which a substantial amount has been raised by members of the Oketon Lodge of the RAOB ? will be handed over to the stroke unit at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital on Monday.
The charity was the choice of Robert Herbert from Okehampton, past provincial grand primal of the Exeter province of the RAOB.
Robert, who is a member of the town?s Oketon Lodge, will present the money to a representative of the stroke unit at the Plume of Feathers at 8.30pm. Secretary David Smale said the local lodge averaged around 15 members attending the weekly meetings.
