HORRABRIDGE Rangers Football Club have been awarded a lottery grant of almost £5,000 to fund a series of weekend football tournaments this summer.

West Devon youngsters inspired by the silky skills on show at the World Cup in Japan and South Korea can take part in the competitions being held in the last weekend of June and the first weekend of July.

The tournament weekends will include U10, 11, 12 and 14 age groups, as well as girls' U10, 12 and 14 age groups. A tournament for adults is also planned.

The Awards for All grant of £4,886 will also fund coaching development courses, which will give the club a greater depth of knowledge.
