DEVON FA held its first Football Development Awards night recently, and Horrabridge Rangers featured heavily. They were presented with the Charter Standard Community Club Award, described by Hannah Buckley the county development officer, ?as the epitome of what all clubs in Devon should be aiming to achieve?. This, the major award of the night, was presented to Ian Mulholland who also received a football workforce award. The awards were presented by Denis Smith, Devon FA chairman, at a special Football Development presentation evening at Devon FA headquarters in Newton Abbott. FA Charter Standard Club Awards were presented to administrator, Jack Clarke, Staddiscombe Colts; coach, Ray Charran, Barnstaple Town Youth FC; club, Activate Youth FC; development club, Barnstaple Town Youth FC; adult club, Axminster Town FC; community club, Horrabridge Rangers SA. FA Charter standard schools: primary school, Sticklepath Community School; primary development school, Manor Primary School; secondary school, Churston Ferrers Grammar School; secondary development school, Plymstock School; special school, Millwater Special School; specialist sports college, Paignton Community and Sports College.
