THE annual Bridestowe ram roast took place last Saturday, with the sporting green packed full of visitors and fun activities.
Janet Rattenbury, who helped organise the event, was pleased with how it went.
She said: 'The day went very well, with lots of people turning up.
'We were extremely lucky with the weather, which sprinkled with rain lightly as we were setting up, but then held out throughout the day before another light shower as we were packing up.
'I don't know where all the people came from!
'We seemed to be selling so many tickets on the gate and there were lots of visitors.'
As well as the ram roast, visitors to the green enjoyed stalls, the beer tent, games and competitions, the bouncy castle, a dog agility show and live music from Sam and Friends and One Point Five.
All the proceeds raised from the day will go towards Bridestowe Village Hall.
Janet was pleased with the estimated proceeds.
She said: 'We're still totalling the money, but our rough figure is that the day raised around about £2,000 for the hall, which is great.'
