FORMER pupils of Okehampton College, Jonathon and Julia Essex, both recently completed the London Marathon and raised over £1,000 each for their chosen charity.
Now living and working in the London area, Jonathon, 29, was running for RED R (Register of Engineers for Disaster Relief) and completed the challenge in three hours and 44 minutes.
Julia was running for cerebral palsy charity, Scope.
Despite having to stop for intensive treatment to both knees, Julia managed to finish in six hours, spurred on by the encouragement of the crowd.
