THE organiser of Tavisrock, an annual fundraising music event held at the Wharf in Tavistock, is appealing to local companies for support by offering a raffle prize for the event.

The next event is on Saturday, October 6 and will feature 13 bands playing for more than eleven hours with every penny raised going to the Royal British Legion.

Organiser Ellie Hudson said: 'With so many charity events on the go all year round together with the recession, it's become harder and harder to get raffle donations but we really only need a dozen or so, that's all we had last year and we raised nearly £1,000 in one day.'
