Duchy Div 2

RAF St Mawgan 1

Chillaton A 0

IN a match it is hoped does not mirror next week's cup semi-final. Chillaton lost to a single goal at RAF St Mawgan.

The home side playing as a unit without individual promise, held off all of Chillaton's advances.

Pete Daniel, in Chillaton's goal, made some fine stops to hold the RAF pressure.

Early in the second period a defensive mix-up saw the ball crawl slowly over the Chillaton goal-line.

Try as they might the yellows could not break the St Mawgan defence to redress the balance.

Gerald Holmes gave a fine performance in midfield with constant running.

Duchy Div 4

Chillaton B 1

Calstock 2

WITH a place in the top three of the division at stake this was an important game.

Chillaton pushed on in their usual style and Paul Cowling struck low from 20 yards to give them a one-goal advantage that was held to the break.

Calstock applied pressure in the second half and looked to have held out when, eight minutes from, time the visitors had a free kick on the edge of the box.

They duly converted and in the last minute made it 2-1 from open play.
