THE PUBLIC toilets in New Road, Callington will be closed from Christmas Eve until January 4 — but the Co-op store will be making its loos available for the convenience of visitors to the town.

Town Clerk Vernon Anderson said that the public conveniences would be closed over the Christmas period because there would be no council staff to look after them during this time.

'Co-op has suggested that people be directed to their conveniences,' he said.
