TAVISTOCK'S newest producer market will be introduced next week, thanks to three local groups working together.

Tamar Grow Local, Tavistock College and Transition Tavistock have joined together to launch the market at an event in the Octagon Centre, Tavistock College on February 7.

Tamar Grow Local has been expanding its producer markets over the last year and is looking forward to having a presence in Tavistock.

Tavistock College is keen to host the market periodically. It will be open from 6.45pm with a range of local produce available and a chance to chat to a number of local producers.

Transition Tavistock will be sharing its progress in 2012 and plans for 2013 – working together with Tamar Grow Local, Tavistock College and others to make the town a resilient community.

The evening will also include Transition Tavistock's very short annual meeting.

Home baking and drinks will be available through the evening.
