THE Young Enterprise group at Okehampton College recently scooped a major award at the Devon Young Enterprise Convention.
'Fokus', as they have named themselves, produced a CD featuring music from various bands at the college plus students performing songs and musical items.
The competition against sixteen other teams involved speeches and presentations at the evening in Exeter and this created much tension and rivalry. However Fokus won through and gained the prize for 'Most Innovative Product', a key factor being the diversity of the music on the CD.
'It was so exciting when our name was called out — I simply couldn't believe it!' said managing director, Tim Pitts-Tucker.
The CD is on sale for £5 from the college and Millennium Music in Okehampton's arcade.
