THE visitors' centre at Dartmoor Prison is hosting an open day this Monday (April 23) to show prospective new volunteers what goes on at the centre. The Prison Advice and Care Trust (PACT) provides the centre at Dartmoor and is currently looking for volunteers to help run it. Families travel from all over Britain and overseas to visit prisoners in the South West and the current volunteers are on hand at every visit, providing a warm, welcoming environment for partners and children and a friendly face for first time visitors.
