MORE than 60 pensioner residents of Princetown and the surrounding area sat down to a Christmas meal at Jayne’s in Princetown on December 16 courtesy of High Moorland WI.

This annual event is always greatly enjoyed by all.

The local police make an appearance as well and take part in singing verses from ‘We Three Kings from Orient are…”  accompanied by Mrs Pauline Hamilton-Leggett on the keyboard. This police presence is greatly appreciated and is one of the highlights of the afternoon.

A free raffle also sees many of the residents return home with some further Christmas cheer after enduring some terrible jokes supplied by Rev Preb Nick Shutt.
