HIS Royal Highness Prince Charles is to visit Dartmoor Prison today (Friday) as part of a series of engagements in the South West.

The Prince of Wales is to visit the prison today to learn about the prison’s choir project and listen to a brief performance by its participants. He will also meet privately with the facility’s governor and the minister for prisons and probation, MP Rory Stewart.

On Thursday, Prince Charles visited Cornwall, paying a visit to Truro cathedral to sign a slate in aid of its roof appeal and visiting the Royal Cornwall Museum to mark its 200th anniversary.

Last July, the Prince was in West Devon visiting Okehampton Camp, to hear about the way the Duchy of Cornwall had been working with the Ministry of Defence.
