CHILDREN from Okehampton College?s feeder primaries were at the college last Thursday to take part in a Multi-Skills Festival. Year 2 children from South Tawton, North Tawton, Chagford, Lewtrenchard, Lydford, Boasley Cross, Bridestowe, Exbourne and Northlew all took part in the activities. Co-ordinator Bernie Hachipuka said: ?We split it into two, with 60 children in the morning and 60 in the afternoon. ?They had 15 minutes on each activity, then the whistle blew and they changed to the next one. They had a great time.? Activities included team-building, jumping and throwing, running and hurdling, aiming and throwing, striking and fielding and parachute games. The day was run with help from the college?s junior and community sports leaders. ?Our college students were brilliant, some were group leaders and some were activity leaders,? said Bernie.
