A SPECIAL presentation was made to Bere Ferrers resident Alan Richardson at the Saturday Shop in the village last month.

Barbara Bousfield, friend and neighbour, presented Alan, of Elmwood House, with a specially commissioned dual picture of Bere Ferrers together with gift vouchers from friends and well wishers.

For more than 20 years Alan has lived on the peninsula, joins in with village activities, and is held in high regard.

The community gave their best wishes to him as he heads off to live in the Nottingham area to be nearer his daughter.
