AUCTIONEERS Rendells are holding their second 'Chagford Country Fair and Sale' on Saturday, August 31. It follows the success last year of the first fair.
Sections will include poultry and waterfowl, breeding sheep, store lambs, and a special section for halter-led and ridden ponies.
There will also be a wide selection of interesting articles for auction, both old and new, and lots of entries have already been received, including a Renault Scenic car, chainsaws, garden and hand tools, hen houses, dog kennels and three vintage horse drawn ploughs.
Entries have also been received for all types of livestock. Sheep breeds include Suffolk and Zwartble and there is poultry to suit all buyers, including Light Sussex pullets, Gold Laced Orpington hens and Aylesbury ducks.
There will be other attractions, including local craftsmen and businesses. Event organisers say the whole family will be welcome.
To enter any livestock or sundries, contact Rendells. They also welcome enquiries from small local businesses who may be interested in having a stand.
Other sales at the market include the annual Dartmoor pony sale on Thursday, October 10, followed by a show and sale of suckled calves and store cattle on Thursday, November 28 and the annual Chagford collective machinery sale on Saturday, November 30.
