THISTLES had already lost twice this season to Kitto so this would be a good indicator of the progress the team is making.
Thistles started quickly and came close to scoring after two minutes. Against the run of play Kitto broke quickly and scored in the fourth minute. Despite this setback Thistles continued to apply pressure and were playing the better football. Toby Scanlan scored after 17 minutes and a Tom Warren goal after 25 minutes gave Thistles a deserved lead. The Kitto players looked dangerous with the long ball and just a minute later scored an equaliser. Thistles hit the goal post just before half time.
In the second half Thistles showed they can cope with the long ball as they closed down the Kitto players and worked hard to keep possession. Their determination paid off with another goal scored by Warren after 20 minutes. Kitto pushed for an equaliser and only great goal keeping by player of the match Isaac Jeffery kept them at bay.
