YOUNGSTERS at Hatherleigh Primary School gave a concert to parents in the music hall on Tuesday evening. The school orchestra performed, as did the recorder group and guitar group, the school choir also gave a performance of Jack and the Beanstalk. The event, which got underway at 6.30pm, was very well attended by parents with around 50 children taking part in front of a packed hall. On Wednesday, April 5, the school choir ? which has around 25 members ? performed in front of the rest of the school. The event was organised as a celebration of music in school ? a retiring collection was also held to raise funds to support the school orchestra. Next term, the orchestra are hoping to travel to Westpoint near Exeter for a day of music featuring children from schools across the county.
