AFGHANISTAN War injured Royal Marine Mark Ormrod, supported by Iraq veteran's daughter, Lydia Cross, both of whom are amputees, will jointly launch Devon's Poppy Appeal at Exeter City Football Club this Saturday at 3pm.
The launch will highlight the importance of the legion's work supporting, caring and campaigning for serving and ex-service people and their families in Devon, and nationwide.
It will feature a cadet from each of the three Armed Services abseiling from the roof of a spectator stand, in a race to deliver a large poppy to the hands of Mark, Lydia and the Lord Mayor of Exeter on centre pitch.
The RBL spends more than £1-million a week nationally in its work supporting forces families.
