THE Spooners and West Dartmoor Pony Club came second out of four pony club teams at the South West Game Fair and Equine Show held at the Bath and West Showground.
Their team — Henry Ware, Frankie McKechnie, Sam Underwood, George Scott, along with Alice Kodritsch and dogs, took part in a 'horse and hound challenge' with each team member jumping a course followed by a member on foot jumping the same course with a dog — this time against the clock.
The three boys in the team all jumped clear rounds and Sam just had one pole down. Three of the Spooners dogs had the fastest times of all —with Alice the fastest on foot with her dog.
Well known equestrians Graham and Tina Fletcher presented the team their rosettes.
