SOUTH West Equine Protection are desperately seeking volunteers to work with horses and ponies who have been mistreated. The charity, which has rescued and re-homed over 200 horses and ponies throughout Devon and Cornwall, requires an annual fund of £25,000 to cover medical and general care, and is desperately seeking volunteers to look after the horses and raise awareness of the charity. The founder of SWEP, Maureen Rolls, has worked tirelessly for the charity and has already been awarded two prestigious awards, the ?Pioneer of the Country? and ?Welfare?s Campaigner of the Year 2004?, for her work. If you are interested in the welfare of ponies and would like to consider becoming a volunteer or would like to make a donation telephone 01822 890668 or e-mail [email protected]">[email protected]
