I DO not wish to prolong unnecessarily the recent correspondence on the UKIP European Election success. However, I must point out to Mr Goodwin (Letters, July 8) that our policies are available on http://www.ukip.org">www.ukip.org
Otherwise, anyone interested can obtain a hard copy from our association. These policies are based on a £20-billion per year savings by withdrawing from the EU.

HOW many electors were told, in Graham Booth?s leaflets and meetings (Letters, July 8), that taxpayers? money paid out to UKIP MEPs in salary and allowances, was going to be sent straight back into UKIP political party funds, as he now admits?
Or have I got it wrong, and UKIP MEPs may yet take the logically compatible step of refusing to take what he calls this ?funding? from the EU; an institution which they say they do not wish themselves and their nation to be members of?
UKIP should be reminded that Sinn Fein MPs at least refused to join a UK Parliament of which they disapproved. One waits to read that UKIP MEPs have now correctly and justifiably resigned from their hated institution.
