POLICE are warning people in the Princetown area to be on their guard, after several householders around the village have reported that their door handles have been tried late at night or early in the morning over recent weeks.
To date, no thefts have been reported that appear to relate to this, so police are warning residents to secure their homes. Police will be patrolling the area for this reason.
A police spokesman said: 'Please ensure you lock not only your house door, but also outbuildings, business premises and cars.'
Anyone with any concerns or any idea of who is responsible can speak to PCSO Mark Canvin or PC Dave Pickles at Tavistock Police Station.
