SKATE park users are celebrating after receiving a £100 windfall from Okehampton police.
The annual police golf tournament raised funds for the park after seeing how much local young people enjoyed using it.
Dave Woodland, neighbourhood beat manager, said: ?The police are keen to see young people?s endeavours rewarded and supported.
?The amount of effort they have put into creating and improving this park is phenomenal ? it is a source of great enjoyment for themselves and other youngsters in the area.
?We wanted to show that the project was both praised and applauded in the wider Okehampton community.?
The park, situated at the back of Brayhams Terrace, incorporates skate ramps, bike tracks and recreation space.
It is managed by a working party comprising representatives of OCRA, Okehampton Youth Service, Okehampton Town Council, the police and young people from the area.
Emma Hall, of Okehampton Youth Service, said: ?The working party meets every month and the young people are always full of new schemes and ideas.
?We are still discussing how the money will be used ? one possibilty is to hold a skate and bike competition in the summer ? but nothing has been finalised as yet.
?We are just very glad to see the young people?s efforts rewarded. They have put a lot of hard work into improving the town?s youth facilities and this money is a great bonus.?
