POLICE investigating the death of 12-year-old Zak Knott from Sourton Down are awaiting results of further forensic tests.
The Okehampton College pupil was found dead a short distance from his home on March 18 after he failed to return from walking his dog.
A post-mortem examination proved inconclusive and police are continuing to keep an open mind regarding the circumstances that led up to his death.
Police spokeswoman WPC Sharon Newman said the death was still unexplained and police were hoping that samples taken from the post-mortem examination would present officers with a clearer picture.
?We have had a good response from people who use the footpath near the Prewley Water Treatment Works,? said WPC Newman.
?All the people who recognised themselves in media appeals have come forward.
?Until we get the results back from all the forensic tests we are keeping an open mind.?
