POLICE are appealing for information after a man suffered a fractured jaw following an incident in Callington.

It occurred at around 8.40pm on Friday, July 12 outside the Bull's Head public house.

The victim had helped remove a man from the pub who had caused problems. Outside, he was hit once, fracturing his jaw and injuring his ear.

The offender, who then walked off into the town, was described as a white man in his mid-20s, approximately 5ft 10ins tall, of average build with blonde to mousy hair, and wearing a horizontally striped yellow and orange rugby-style top.

Police are appealing for any witnesses or anyone who knows the identity of the suspect and ask that they contact them on 101, quoting police reference BN/13/416 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
