Tavistock U11s 5
Kingsbridge U11s 29
THIS back-to-back return fixture lived up to its promise as the home side took to the field determined to put in a better performance than the pre-Christmas first leg.
Tavistock took on this strong Kingsbridge side from the off, moving the ball out wide whenever possible with some good ball handling.
The forwards worked work to keep the ball at the rucks and mauls, also holding their own at the set-pieces.
Strong tackling from the backs stopped the visitors from breaking through on many occasions.
Tavistock kept the pressure on for prolonged periods and it was from an attacking scrum that Phillip Snell ran five yards off the back of the scrum to the try-line, supported by Elliot Hoyte who went over to score.
Again in the second half Tavistock put on the pressure which resulted in a disallowed try by Barnaby Frost.
All five of the Kingsbridge tries were provided by the same player ? a fine solo effort.

Kingsbridge U10s 25
THIS was a difficult game for the U10s, who had two new players, Ryan Northam and Max Byrne, who saw them lose against a hard working Kingsbridge.
Kingsbridge quickly met the solid tackling of Louis Ferguson and Northam, who won the ball then forced a scrum just inside their own half.
The ball was put in by scrum-half Hallam Bourton and won by Michael Brain, Ferguson and Jonathan Witherstone with a huge push. A good run from Benedict Evans was thwarted by Kingsbridge, who made good ground before being stopped by the tackles of Joe Thompson, Monty Burdfield and Byrne.
This balanced play continued for more than ten minutes until Kingsbridge breached the Tavistock defence to score in the corner. Despite further spells of good play from Tavistock, including runs from Bourton and Evans, Kingsbridge scored twice more before half-time.
The second half saw the introduction of Longden, Romero, Coker and Patrick Ferguson and increased pressure on the Kingsbridge touch line. But Tavistock were unable to get the much deserved try and Kingsbridge?s good passing and speed on the wing finally earned them two more before the final whistle.

TAVISTOCK opened the second half of the season hoping to repeat their December victory over Kingsbridge but had to settle for sharing the spoils in the two-match series, despite scoring ten tries.
All 19 players in the squad featured in an enjoyable game in which Kingsbridge took an early lead, but impressive tries from Adam Billington and Zak Brinkhurst kept Tavistock in touch.
