The visitors had the better of the opening quarter of the match in which they established a one goal lead that would have been doubled but for an excellent penalty save from Andy Woodward. The remainder of the first half was much more even and in this period Gunnislake equalised when, after good work by Dave Yorath, Jarryd Kelly produced a sweet strike from 20 yards. The opening exchanges of the second period were also even. In this period the visitors regained a one goal lead. Gunnislake got on top as the half wore on and had the better of the final 20 minutes and equalised in this period. Steff Kelly did well to find Andy Wakem who showed good persistence and strength to create himself an opportunity from which he scored from 10 yards. Come the final whistle a point apiece was a fair result. On Thursday evening Gunnislake play at Lanreath FC against St Columb Major in the Duchy Premier Cup final. Kick off 6.30pm. Saturday sees Godolphin visiting Gunnislake for the final league match of the season with the visitors likely to need a win if they are to clinch the league title.
