TAVISTOCK Library is hosting a series of events in celebration of its tenth birthday.

Poet and performer Matt Harvey will be at the library to start the celebrations on Wednesday May 18.

Matt is a regular contributor to BBC 4's Saturday Live and his poems are a regular feature in the Guardian, the Independent and the Mail on Sunday.

Tickets for the event, starting at 7pm, are £2.50.

Continuing the celebrations, on Wednesday June 15, Dr Todd Gray will be at the library discussing some of his books Lest Devon Forgets, Service Sacrifice and the Creation of Great War Memorials.

Dr Gray has written more than 45 books on the history of Devon and Cornwall, more than a dozen scholarly articles and now runs his own publishing business. The library has many of his books in stock in the local history section.

The event starts at 7pm and tickets are free.
