Murder, Mystery and Mayhem will take place in Northlew when the village's amateur dramatic society (NADS) stage their latest production.

The plot involves the Style Theatre Company, which is in deep trouble with a leading lady who will not retire, a director with arty ideas that cannot possibly succeed and . . . a bit of a dodgy past. 

A financier is in the wings who may come in to save the day but not everybody is happy and one of them is prepared to kill. 

All this is brought to life by the NADS on Friday September 18, together with a three-course dinner.

Tickets are on sale from Elmfield (01409 221376), priced at £9.50 — there are only 80 tickets and those wishing to buy are advised to do so promptly. 

All the guests will be potential sponsors and supporters of the Style Theatre Company and are expected to dress appropriately – eccentric – arty – dramatically – feathers, boas, tuxedos are all quite acceptable.
