AT a time when villages in areas like ours are facing so many difficulties, it is excellent news that a rural post office is actually reopening.
My warmest congratulations to the Country Stores in South Zeal at seeing their efforts to restore this service coming to fruition this week.
Post Offices are the lifeblood of rural communities. It is a scandal that successive Conservative and Labour Governments have allowed so many of them to close.
Let?s hope that the tide is finally beginning to turn.
