I AM fo course sympathetic to those not as mobile as I am who have to rely on some mechanical equipment to achieve even rudimentary movement. However, in recent years there has been a very significant increase in the numbers of ?Disabled? scooters and unfortunately there are one or two who trade on the feelings of others and seem to assume some ?Divine Right? to precedence when traversing our paths and walkways. I was very recently subjected to what could have been a serious injury, and quite a few others to whom I have spoken have related similar experiences of insufficient concern by the users for other people. So please, will those using these equipments exercise consideration and then the ?able-bodied? may continue to be sympathetic and understanding. One important way would be to slow down.
