WHEN is our recycling centre going to stay open? I had some garden waste to take to the recycling centre today, as usual it was closed with about 25 cars waiting to get in. So I went and did some shopping. When I came back I was the last car allowed in before the centre closed again, having only been open for half an hour! Why oh why can they not schedule when containers are being picked up? After all, supermarkets schedule delivery times. If this happened at the recycling centre, we the public could be informed and waiting time would be reduced. At present Crowndale Road is an accident waiting to happen and I would not be suprised if fly tipping was on the increase. Geoff Wyatt Bere Alston
