I HAVE to agree with the writer of the letter headed 'my option would be a massive flyover' — common sense in planning is definitely needed for West Devon. I partly disagree with him regarding putting dogs on leads in Simmons Park. Although I have visited Simmons Park dog walking on average three to four times a week during the day at all times for the past eight years, I have only found one person not clearing up after her dog. I think most of the fouling occurs in the early hours of the morning or late evening. If they do not clear up then they will not, whether or not their dog is on a lead. What also really gets me annoyed is persons with dogs (on leads or without leads) being allowed by their owners to walk all over the flower beds. Margaret Paddon North Tawton
