I HESITATE to correct one so senior as Air Marshal Sir John Sutton KCB (Letters, September 11), but would point out that in 1940 following the evacuation from Dunkirk, not only the RAF stood between us and invasion, but also the Royal Navy who tend to be forgotten in peacetime.
