THANKS to those readers and the people of North Tawton who took the time and trouble to look for my daughter?s little lost kitten, Tilly. After ten days of heartfelt searching, Tilly?s desperate crying was heard by a neighbour in a neighbouring garage (having previously been checked). This garage belonged to second home owners. Had it not been for her crying, after what must have been days of frightened silence, she would not have survived. Although somewhat smaller, she seems to have recovered well after her ordeal. On behalf of all domestic cats everywhere I would like to make a plea to the general public ? please check thoroughly house, garages, outbuildings before leaving for a period of time. Also to visiting tradespeople ? check your vans before leaving a property. Open doors and windows invite nosy cats. I would be interested to read other peoples? stories on lost/found cats, possibly to form a book on the subject if enough material is forthcoming.
