A MEETING will be held to discuss the future of traffic management in Okehampton.
The town council has organised a meeting, which will be held on Monday February 7 at 7pm in the council chamber and will be open to the public.
Representatives from West Devon Borough Council will attend, and residents are encouraged to be there to make their views known. It is understood the issue of residential parking permits will be discussed.
The meeting follows Devon County Council's decision to suspend its proposals to bring parking meters to Okehampton and several other coastal and market towns in Devon.
The county council's cabinet member for highways Cllr Stuart Hughes told town councillors, residents and business owners that he was prepared to work with the town to determine a more holistic approach to traffic management for Okehampton.
