Bodmin Trophies Duchy division 3
Mary Tavy 2
Lanreath 2
ONLY the dismal display of the home side was worse than the weather as the gloom of disappointment still hangs over a Tavy side who earlier in the season looked to promise so much.
Lanreath, without a single win this season, revelled in the joy of having so much time on the ball as Tavy failed to get any sort of grip in this match.
It was no surprise when Massey put the visitors ahead then scored again to put them two up at the break.
Tavy always had the upper hand where possession and chances were concerned but the final third of the pitch proved a minefield no-one dared to cross.
A goal eventually came for Tavy with Dominic Reeves scoring direct from a corner but even this did not have the desired affect on the team as their self-belief seems to have dwindled in past weeks.
James Philpott rescued a point, rifling in from close range with minutes to go, but apart from a late flurry the match offered little in the shape of entertainment.
